NASA's rover on Mars has spotted something amazing — an aurora (a kind of light show in the sky) that you could actually see with your own eyes if you were there!
This is the first time a rover has seen an aurora on Mars that's bright enough for humans to see without any special tools. It’s like the northern lights we see on Earth, but on Mars!

The aurora was spotted by NASA's Curiosity rover, which has been exploring Mars for over 10 years. Scientists say this light show was caused by charged particles from the Sun hitting Mars’ atmosphere, lighting it up in beautiful colors.
Even though Mars doesn’t have a strong magnetic field like Earth does, it can still have auroras — and now we know some are bright enough to see if you were standing there.
Pretty cool, right? Mars just got a little more colorful! 🌌🔴
